An agreement to purchase Actavis by pharmaceutical company Watson Pharmaceuticals was signed in New York, USA, today.

Landsbanki Íslands hf. was one of the interested parties in the sale and LBI’s Winding-up Board participated in the sales process.

The Winding-up Board considers that this is a positive result for the bank and its creditors and expects that this transaction will enhance recovery of the winding-up proceedings.
